The graphics and music is very beautifully collaborated with each other, getting rid of predators in this game is an awesome and fun twist to the game

It feels and looks like Farm Frenzy in a lot of ways with just a few added elements

Fisher’s Family Farm”, a time-management game developed by Big Fish Games, allows you to be the hero, helping Marissa Fisher’s parents save their farm after they discover the fish are vanishing and the farm is failing.

What Are The Differences Between “Fisher’s Family Farm” and Fishing Frenzy

This game and Fishing Frenzy do have comparable screenshots and both don’t run very well but those two things are about the only similarities you’re going to find. What makes this game different – and better – is that there are several settings – Europe, Hawaii, Japan, Russia and the United States.

What To Expect In The Game: Levels, Objectives and Resources

There are 10 levels per location; each one more difficult than the other. In each country, you visit farms to protect them from predators such as the pelican. Finish a level before time runs out and earn a gold coin for your efforts. You don’t have to earn that coin to continue on in the game. There’s no need to rush to finish the level. After all, there’s a lot you can do. However, if you’re going to beat the timer, you’ll need to plan out all your moves at the beginning. This usually means you have to start and play the level more than once.

At the start of each level, you’re provided with objectives you must carry out before you can move onto the next level. And, the resources you are given will very every time.  Some levels will have their buildings completely built while others will already have fish in the pond. And, on some levels, you’ll have the money you need to purchase items.

It’s also not unseen to have multiple resources at the start of the level or have nothing at all. If you are to fulfil your obligations, you’ll need to figure out the best way to utilize the resources you have and how to attain the others.

General Items Of “Fisher’s Family Farm”

You’ll need general things within every level – boat, feeding track, tractor, warehouse and fish. Your tractor will be used to collect hay from the fields in order to fish the fishes. You’ll have to transport that hay to the warehouse initially and click on the feeding rack to ensure the buoys are filled with food for your fish. Each buoy will need placing in the pond; but, you can only do it one at a time. Use the boat to sell your goods to the city.

Now, as you get further into the game, you’ll be provided with additional buildings including but not limited to:

  • Bakery
  • Fillet packer
  • Incubator
  • Mill
  • Sushi house

Your buildings will generate a multitude of items including:

  • Fishburgers
  • Fish cakes
  • Pancakes
  • Sushi
  • Tins of caviar

If you can’t remember what building is what, you just need to move your mouse over to them to display the name. However, this can cost you time… so try remembering what each building is, where they are.

Each level has four available kinds of fish – only two will produce anything. Now, each fish type will change but what’s produced will not. The most inexpensive fish will generate fillets; the more expensive ones will generate caviar. Narwhals will get rid of the invaders and dolphins will pick items up – each fish type is useful for the later levels when everything gets frantic. However, these will cost you a pretty penny.

How To Handle The Predators

Now, each location in “Fisher’s Family Farm” has its own predators – pelicans, sharks and eels. If you don’t quickly eliminate them, your fish are going to be eaten. Scare the pelican predators away by clicking on them before they’re able to land on water. Water-based predators can be caught and then sold with just a click of a button.  You may find that option is the quickest way to attain money at the beginning of the level.

As you continue to progress through the game, the levels get harder and harder and take longer to complete. So, don’t think that just because you got through the first couple of levels pretty easily and quickly that the rest of the game is the same way. Wrong!

Graphics and Sound Effects “Fisher’s Family Farm”

The game’s graphics, both during the game and in the cut-scenes are great. There’s also some very good animation and voice-acting. Each location is outfitted with music and sound effects that tie in nicely to that location.

The re-playability of the game is extremely high; there are many levels to try for your gold and awards. If you didn’t get them all the first time around, you can always try for them again with different results happening throughout the game.
